SuppLiCan Care and Support is a domiciliary care service providing a regulated activity of personal care. The service was providing care and support to people in their own homes. CQC only inspects where people receive personal care. This is help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also consider any wider social care provided. Our assessment took place between 22 August and 5 September 2024, there were 14 people receiving personal care from the service. This was the first inspection of SuppLiCan Care and Support, therefore included all the quality statements under each of our five key questions. This meant we could award the service with their first rating. Safeguarding procedures were in place to ensure people were protected from avoidable harm. A consistent staff team supported people safely. There was effective leadership, robust governance, and monitoring systems in place. People’s rights were fully respected, and consent was sought as required. People had care plans and risk assessments in place and care provision was person centred. Staff were kind and caring, taking into consideration people’s individuality. Health and social care professionals were complimentary about working with SuppLiCan Care and Support.
