During a routine inspection
We looked at the paper and the electronic records for 10 people who used the practice to see how their care and treatment was provided and managed. We talked with staff about how they met the needs of people who used the service.
We saw that people were involved in the planning of their treatment through consultation with the dentists. People were informed of the proposed treatment and had agreed to it.
People told us they were happy with the care and treatment they received. One person said: 'I've always been terrified of dentists but I trust them here'. A second person told us: 'They [the dentist] only carry out the treatment I need ' they don't do anything that is unnecessary'.
We saw that there were effective infection prevention and control procedures in place. We found that staff were trained and supported to meet the needs of the people who used the service.
The service received very few complaints. People told us that they felt listened to and staff were always polite and friendly.
