During a routine inspection
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk of infection. The decontamination took place in each individual surgery in a designated area. Staff were able to describe the decontamination process to us and provided evidence to show the correct checks were carried out on the decontamination equipment.
We spoke to two patients who told us that staff were helpful, listened and respected you. They confirmed they were given appropriate information regarding their treatment options and cost.
The patients had consented to treatment and the staff were well trained and caring.
The practice held quarterly staff meetings which were formally arranged with agendas and documented minutes. The practice manager was very organised and had effective systems in place to ensure correct policies and protocols were in place for the safe treatment of patients.
