During a routine inspection
The practice was busy but well organised. We spoke with five people who use the service and they all told us that they were pleased with the treatment and support they received. People were well informed and understood the treatment they were having. People felt that the provider was 'very good' at explaining things to them and giving choices and options. One person said, "I feel that, as a patient, the dentist empowers you."
Treatment was planned and delivered with a person centred approach and tailored to meet individual and diverse needs. One person told us, "They put you at ease and make you feel very important."
The environment was clean, hygienic and well presented throughout. The provider follows best practice guidelines for dentists in respect of infection control and decontamination. This helps to ensure that people who use the service are protected from the risks of cross infection.
Staff receive a high level of support, supervision and training and feel valued as team members. The provider ensures that people who use the service are treated and supported by staff who have the skills to meet their needs.
There is a robust quality assurance programme in place. This helps to ensure that people who use the service receive safe quality treatment and support.
