During a routine inspection
People receiving care and treatment from this practice paid NHS charges only unless exempt. The practice had a current contract with the primary care trust (PCT) to provide NHS dental care.
We saw that treatment could be arranged at a time convenient to the person. People told us they were given time to consider their treatment options and the cost involved, the dentist confirmed that people did not have to make a decision immediately.
People we spoke with told us they had been at the practice for many years and they were happy with the care they received. We spoke to people whose children were treated at the dental practice and they were satisfied with the care. One person told us 'The dental staff assist me with regards to making sure the ground floor surgery is available for us and they have always been very good with my children'. One person we spoke with told us, 'The staff are excellent, they explain treatment plans and give choices. I recommend them to friends and can't fault them'.
People we spoke with told us that the staff always looked immaculate and that the surgery was always clean and tidy. They told us they see staff wear protective clothing.
