During a routine inspection

One person that we spoke with told us that they had bought their young child to see the dentist for the first time, they had been given good advice and information on how to care for their teeth. People told us that they were given a treatment plan and that the dentist always explained the options available to them, and any associated costs, covered under the NHS or as a private patient. We spoke with people who told us they had joined the practice after a family recommendation, others told us it was nearer to home when they retired from work. They felt that their first appointments had been a good experience and that they had been made fully aware of the costs and this was written on the treatment plan.

At the time Oldland Dental Practice registered with us on 01 April 2011, they declared that there were some outcomes where they needed to do further work to become fully compliant. At this inspection visit we checked those outcomes and found that the practice had achieved compliance.
