During a routine inspection
People told us they felt well informed and understood the choice of treatments available and the costs. Information about people's treatments, allergies and important medical information was recorded in their files.
We saw the premises were clean. The dental nurse explained how staff followed the department of health guidance to prevent and control infection. One person we spoke with said, 'I am impressed with their hygiene, the gloves, aprons, masks.'
People told us, "The staff are very friendly and pleasant." Staff told us they had regular training and one to one sessions with the dentist. We saw the provider kept a record of staff's training, and held regular team meetings so all staff knew about any changes and actions they should take.
The provider has a quality assurance system, which included asking people for feedback about their experiences. They checked that staff kept accurate patient records and took the right actions to maintain hygiene standards.
