During a routine inspection
We were not able to talk to patients on the day of our visit as the surgery was not open for treatments. We did however talk to staff about their experiences working for this service. Some of the staff had worked for many years for the same practice. Comments included: "We are well supported here.' And 'This is a good place to work.' And also 'We feel valued, we are encouraged in our training and professional development.'
We looked at the dental records and these confirmed that patients were involved in decisions regarding their treatment.
We toured the building, found the premises clean and the surgeries and building well maintained. The building was aesthetically designed to provide a calming and restful experience with state of the art technology in place.
We looked at polices and procedures and health and safety audits. We confirmed policies were in place and regular health and safety audits were completed.
