During a routine inspection

During our inspection we received feedback from three patients. We also saw some completed patient satisfaction survey forms, and comments sent to the practice by patients. All the feedback we received or saw was positive. Comments from patients included “I don’t hesitate to recommend your practice to all my friends”, “The team are great and I trust them implicitly” and “I wouldn’t go anywhere else, I’ve been coming here for 20 years”.

We saw evidence that information about treatment options was given to patients verbally and in writing. Patients confirmed that everything was explained to them and we saw they always gave their consent prior to treatment commencing.

The surgery appeared clean and well maintained and we saw the correct decontamination procedures were used for dental equipment.

The dentist and dental nurses maintained their registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) and had all been trained in emergency procedures.
