During a routine inspection
In the recent patient feedback all respondents said that the costs of treatment were fully explained, that they had sufficient information about their treatment and were treated with respect. In their written comments people described staff as "helpful", "efficient" and "friendly". All respondents said they were satisfied with the quality of care and treatment provided and in their comments one person described the dentist as "first class".
People were asked to complete medical history questionnaires before treatment was provided and were given information on how to care for themselves following procedures.
On the day of the inspection the practice was clean and tidy. There was an infection control policy and procedure in place which covered relevant details about personal protective equipment, hand hygiene and the storage and disposal of clinical waste.
All clinical staff undertook the Continuing Professional Development necessary to maintain their professional registrations. They undertook mandatory training in appropriate subjects such as what to do in a medical emergency and disinfection and decontamination.
There was an appropriate complaints policy and procedure in place.
