During an inspection in response to concerns
We found that the provider had followed recommended guidance for the prevention and control of infections. Clear protocols and procedures had been put in place to reduce the risk of infection. The staff had received training in infection prevention and control and were able to demonstrate cleaning and decontamination procedures.
However, the standard of cleaning in some of the non-clinical areas of the premises was poor. The provider told us that they acknowledged that there had recently been problems with some of the cleaning arrangements but they had dealt with them and a new cleaner was due to start the following week.
