During a routine inspection

We spoke with four people who used the service. People told us that the dentist explained the treatment that they required and any costs that were involved. One person explained that they wanted their denture made in a certain way and that the dentist had accommodated their request. They told us, "I really haven't got any complaints." This demonstrated that people were enabled to participate in making decisions about their treatment.

Care and treatment was planned and delivered in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare.

We saw that people were treated in a clean and tidy environment. People that we spoke with told us that they found the surgery clean and they confirmed that the dentist and dental nurses wore protective equipment, such as gloves and masks.

All of the staff that we spoke with told us that they felt supported in their role. People were cared for by staff who were supported to deliver care and treatment safely and to an appropriate standard.

We saw that the provider had completed a number of audits in order to assess and monitor the quality of the service provided. The provider had an effective system to regularly assess and monitor the quality of service that people receive.
