During a routine inspection
We also took information from other sources to help us understand the views of people who used the service, which included a patient satisfaction survey and staff meeting minutes.
The patients we spoke with told us they thought they received good dental treatment from the dentists and were confident in their abilities. One patient told us 'I like my dentist because I trust him and he wants to do a good job.' Another patient we spoke with told us 'I have only been here once before but I am happy as the costs are explained. I have no complaints.'
There were effective systems in place to reduce the risk and spread of infection and the staff were well trained and supported. A member of staff told us 'It's a really nice place to work. I started with the practice owner so have been here sometime. I have seen patients have children and grandchildren. I still enjoy it because we all get on well.' A dental practitioner that we spoke with told us 'I have been in practice for fifteen years and this is the highest standard of dentistry that I have experienced.'
The practice manager had systems in place to assess and monitor the service and effectively deal with complaints.
