During a routine inspection
Patient notes were comprehensive and demonstrated that general information was given to people about maintaining their oral health, as well as more specific advice relating to treatment that they were undertaking.
People who used the service were protected in the event of an emergency because staff were appropriately trained and there was emergency medication available. Staff were also trained in and aware of their responsibility to safeguard children and vulnerable adults.
People who used the service were protected against the risks associated with cross infection because procedures in the practice, met with the requirements of the Health Technical Memorandum 01-05 (HTM). Overall, there were systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided and this included providing opportunity for people to give feedback about their treatment.
