During a routine inspection
We noted all staff were respectful and polite when assisting people visiting or phoning the practice. People spoken with told us they were always made welcome and put at ease by all the staff in the practice.
The practice manager told us all the staff worked hard at ensuring the service was accessible to all the community. This included ensuring the service was suitable for people who used wheelchairs. Information leaflets on the practice were available in other languages by request. We were also told about fun sessions run for children to ensure they did not build up a fear of visiting the dentist.
Records held demonstrated an assessment was carried out before any treatment was put into place. People told us they always knew what treatment they were going to receive and had been given as estimate of how much it would cost.
We found the practice to be clean and tidy. People told us they always found the practice to be clean. The service had in infection control lead who was aware of the need to ensure policies were followed to ensure there was no risk of cross infection.
Staff working in the practice had a good understanding of safeguarding people and the necessary policies and procedures associated with keeping people safe.
The provided had systems in place to ensure to the quality of the service provided was monitored.
