During a routine inspection
People told us the dentist made them aware of the treatment options available to them and most people told us that the costs were also discussed with them before any treatment commenced. However one person told us that the final bill he received for his treatment had 'come as a shock'. During our visit we observed that this had already been identified as a possible shortfall at times and staff had been reminded about the importance of providing a written estimate for people.
We asked people about the cleanliness of the clinic. People told us that they considered the surgery very clean and that the dentist always wore gloves when providing treatment. One person said, 'I like to see the clean instruments so I know they haven't been used for anyone else'.
