During a routine inspection
We examined five computerised patient record cards which demonstrated evidence of patient involvement in their treatment planning.
We found the practice was clean and well maintained, and this was confirmed by the patients we interviewed. We found certificates in the staff files that demonstrated staff had attended appropriate training for their role.
The standard of orthodontic record card keeping followed current best practice. We found that the patient records contained detailed treatment plans and signed consent forms were present. We found that medical histories were updated for each course of treatment protocol was in place to flag up medical alerts to protect both staff and patients.
