During a routine inspection
People told us that they were treated with respect and were always involved in making decisions about their care and treatment. One person said; 'The dentist is absolutely great, informative, competent, and professional. Always discusses treatment options with me and is very clear about costs.' Another person said; 'This dentist provides an excellent service, I feel involved and the staff are well trained, professional and always polite and friendly.'
Patients were asked about their medical history and we saw individualised clinical notes detailing full oral health assessment, risk assessment, examination and treatment planning.
Patients told us they were given information about treatment options so they were able make informed decisions about their treatment and dental care.
We saw that emergency equipment was available and readily accessible to staff. Staff had received training for cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and we saw certificates that confirmed this.
People who used the service told us that they felt safe and had confidence in the practice and in the competence and professionalism of staff. Staff were familiar with the services' safeguarding procedures so they knew what to do if there was any evidence or suspicion of abuse.
