During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made

We reviewed the information the provider gave us about how they would access Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding training for staff and ensure all staff undertook the training. The provider told us that they would access up to date information about local authority safeguarding procedures and protocols that would be accessible to all staff.

This has provided assurance that staff would have up to date training about the Mental capacity Act and safeguarding. It provided assurance that staff and would have information about how to make a safeguarding alert to the local authority if there was any concerns about suspected or alleged abuse.

During a routine inspection

During our visit we spoke with two people who were visiting for treatment or examination. They both said that they were new to the practice. It had been easy to obtain an emergency appointment and that the dentist and staff at the practice were 'very nice'.
