During an inspection looking at part of the service
We saw there were now systems in place for recording consent and monitoring that this was being done. People told us that they were asked for their consent prior to treatment being completed and that treatment options were discussed with them.
One person told us, "Never been more satisfied....Best fitting dentures I have had in years". Another said that everyone who worked at the dental centre was, "Pleasant and friendly," and that, "As dentists go it's a fantastic practice".
One person said that some of their appointments had either been cancelled or moved. When we spoke to the manager regarding this they told us that appointments are booked up to six months in advance and that one of the dentists was involved in teaching which was booked on a shorter notice period, this may have accounted for the cancellations. We spoke with three people all of whom were generally satisfied with the care and treatment provided.
