During a routine inspection
The patient we spoke with and the patients who responded to our questionnaire were very happy with the practice. We were told 'Excellent so far, lovely gentle dentist' and 'Pretty much on the ball.'
People told us that treatment was discussed with them and they were asked to give their consent before any treatment was carried out.
Staff showed us how they referred patients who required specialist treatment. This included referrals to practitioners who worked in the practice as well as other health care professionals.
We were shown evidence that the provider ensured they only employed staff suitable to work with vulnerable adults and children. We also saw that staff had received appropriate training in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
We saw that the practice was clean and well maintained. All of the patients we spoke with were satisfied with the standard of cleanliness in the surgery.
The provider showed us that they made their complaints policy available to patients. We saw that they monitored and acted on any feedback they received from patients.
