During a routine inspection
We found that patients understood the care and treatment choices available to them. One patient told us that they were satisfied with the care and treatment received and was 'happy with the care provided'.
The provider had a policy for ensuring that all patients regardless of their background were treated with respect and dignity. The provider told us that staff were all aware of this policy.
One patient we spoke to said "They explain things clearly to us. The treatment is good and the premises are clean and tidy. I have no concerns."
The premises were clean and welcoming. There were arrangements for the prevention of infection and staff were knowledgeable regarding infection control and the decontamination procedures for equipment and instruments used. Staff had been trained in infection control.
Staff had been trained on safeguarding and showed awareness of reporting procedures. The provider had a recruitment procedure and criminal record checks were in place.
The practice had a service user guide with information on the complaints procedures and fees which were all available in the reception area.
