During a routine inspection
We found people were given good advice about their treatment options before they started their treatment. One person told us 'I wanted tooth whitening done. I was required to have an assessment first as the dentist wanted to make sure it was right for me. I am pleased with my care here'.
The dentist made sure people were given a thorough oral examination and advised and supported to maintain good oral health. Appointments were flexible and arrangements in place for emergency treatment.
People who use the service were protected from the risk of abuse, because staff were trained in recognising signs of abuse and what action they would need to take to protect people. All staff employed were subjected to character checks and their registration with the General Dental Council (GDC) verified.
People were also protected from the risk of infection and they were treated in a clean hygienic environment.
People were able to give their views about the service and there were systems in place to make sure people were kept safe and free from any risk associated with the practice.
