Many of the treatments provided by the clinic were not regulated by the Care Quality Commission, as they do not come under the remit of the Health and Social Care Act. We spoke with three patients about the treatments they had received. They were positive about the treatment they had received and about the clinic and the staff.
They told us they had received enough information at the time of their initial consultation to make an informed choice about the type of procedures on offer and the suitability of them in meeting their individual needs and aspirations.
They told us they had received written information about their planned procedure. One patient told us, "After the initial consultation I was provided with a telephone number to call if I had any additional questions. It also gave me the opportunity to go home and decide if I wanted to go ahead with the treatment." Another patient said, "They went through everything in detail. They took my medical history and asked me about any tablets I was on. The consultation was very thorough, in my opinion."
Patients told us that they felt confident in discussing any areas of service provision with the provider/consultant and other staff. They also felt confident that any concerns or complaints would be listened to and addressed. One patient told us, "The service is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. If I did have any problems I feel that they would be sorted out'.
