At our review of compliance undertaken in April 2013 we found that the provider did not have a system in place to record or monitor the basic core training and refresher training for the staff working at the practice. In discussion with the provider and staff it was confirmed that refresher training was overdue in the basic core areas at that time.

In October 2013 the provider told us they had developed a system to record the training provided for the staff team and to ensure that all staff members received the training necessary to their individual roles.

Records showed that care and treatment was planned in a way that was intended to ensure people's safety and welfare. They showed that people were given information on which to make decisions about their treatment.

The environment was well maintained and clean. People who used the service told us that it was always clean and fresh.

People using the service told us that staff were friendly and courteous.
