During a routine inspection
One of the patients said, "I get a thorough mouth examination and the treatment is discussed with me in full. I am then asked to sign to say I agree with the treatment I am having." A second patient told us they had chosen to register with the service because it had been recommended by a member of their family. They said, "This is my first appointment. I have been very impressed with the service so far."
Suitable procedures were in place to protect children and safeguard vulnerable adults from abuse. Staff had received training in recognising the signs and symptoms of abuse and they knew what action they must take to safeguard people at risk from further harm.
Training records contained evidence that qualified staff had received relevant training for their roles and responsibilities within the dental practice. Two members of the dental team told us that they received good support from management to ensure that their continual professional development was updated regularly.
Each of the three patients we spoke with told us they were very satisfied with the service they received from Ellesmere Dental Practice.
