During a routine inspection
People told us that they were happy with the service provided. They felt their dignity was maintained and their privacy protected. For example people told us that staff were reliable, open and honest about treatments.
They said they were encouraged to ask questions and felt staff had the time to answer their questions.
People who used the service told us that they were provided with good information both about the treatments and the cost of the different treatments. They said staff were most helpful and made people feel at ease.
People reported that staff were good at discussing all their treatment options and they felt they were provided with realistic expectations of the procedures they were having. People said they were consulted about treatment and given full information about any risks or side effects they may encounter.
Comments from people who used the service included:
'I wish I had been coming here when I was younger. This dentist helps me to keep my own teeth and makes them look good', 'The dentist tells me what options I have with different treatments available', 'Staff call me by my first name and make me feel at ease'.
One person said they were provided with clear information about various treatments that were available They said that staff would explain about how the treatments were carried out to enable people to make a decision as to what they wanted. Other comments included: 'Staff are friendly and very helpful', 'Dentists always explain what the process involves and involve us in the assessment to find out what we want, and 'Staff tell you things in a way you can understand'. 'Staff ask me if my medical condition has changed each time I have an appointment.'
People also told us that the clinic was comfortable, homely and accommodating and that appointments were flexible to meet their needs.
