During a routine inspection
The patients we spoke with told us had been given informed choices. They said they were involved in discussions about the treatment options and costs, and had not been hurried to make a decision. One patient told 'I feel very involved in the process' the Dentist gave me the relevant information during the first consultation and I was given information to take away.' Patients told us the practice was well organised and friendly and the staff were professional, helpful and courteous.
We found patients received their treatment in a clean, tidy and well lit environment. One patient told us 'I have observed staff here are very hot on cleanliness and infection control.' Another patient said 'I have seen the dentist and nurse are always wearing protective clothing.'
We found patient's were cared for, or supported by, suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff. The practice had a complaints system in place. The patients we spoke with did not express any concern about the service they had received. They told us if they had a concern they would speak to the practice manager or the principal dentist.
