During a routine inspection
During our visit we looked at a selection of patient records. These records documented all the observations, examinations, and screening carried out by the dentist. People we spoke with were very complimentary about the standard of care they received. One person told us about their emergency treatment and how they were reassured that they would be able to get care out of hours.
All staff were able to demonstrate that they were aware of the safe practices required to meet essential standards. The practice had a purpose built decontamination room to separate the decontamination procedure from the clinical area.
Staff training records showed that all staff had attended training in basic life support. The provider had also enabled staff to take part in further relevant training.
The practice had recently carried out a patient survey which had been completed by 130 people. The results showed that 100% of the people were satisfied with the service with 98% indicating they were very satisfied.
