During a routine inspection
We observed that people booking in at reception were treated respectfully and sensitively. Written information was available for people, within the practice brochure and treatment plan they were given by the dentist, informing them of the prospective treatment and charges.
People we spoke with told us "I have been coming here for thirty years and so have all my family, the care and treatment has been first rate." Another person said "I am absolutely satisfied with the care I get, the dentist chats to me to put me at ease, because I always feel a little nervous."
We spoke with one dentist, several nursing staff and some of the management team during our visit. We looked at people's records, policies and procedures, the last survey results and obtained further evidence through observations.
People told us that they felt safe in the surgery and also felt confident in reporting any issues of concern to staff. They also told us they felt the staff employed at the practice were suitably trained and professional in performing their duties.
