During a routine inspection
People told us that risks and benefits of different treatments were explained so they understood the implications of their choices. One person said '[The dentist] makes time to give a clear explanation.'
People told us that they were given advice about how to keep their teeth and gums healthy. For example, we were told; 'I get very good advice and guidance about how to clean my teeth properly.'
From looking at records we found that staff were supported to maintain their professional skills. People who use the service commented that the staff were very professional and friendly. One person said the dentist, 'Knows how to care for the individual,' meaning he understood their fears and how best to alleviate them.
The service monitors the quality of service it provides, by reviewing practice and feedback from people who use the service. We found the service followed good hygienic practices.
