During a routine inspection
We found that patients were consulted about their treatment and given the information they needed to give informed consent. Patients received appropriate dental and oral examinations and their relevant medical and health history was sought and updated as required. Staff had received appropriate training in responding to medical emergencies. Although emergency medication and oxygen were available, the practice had yet to obtain a defibrillator.
The practice had appropriate policies for child protection and safeguarding vulnerable adults and staff had received the relevant training. The staff had attended appropriate training and continuous professional development and had received annual performance appraisals.
The practice manager and registered manager had systems to monitor the on-going performance within the practice and for seeking the views of patients.
