Two people told us they had joined the practice because of the good reputation it had in the community. One person said they had previously been a very nervous but had been reassured by the dentists' manner and praised their clinical skills saying 'I have never felt an injection.' Another person told us they had a medical condition which could affect their treatment. They told us the dentist had done some research to ensure they were able to provide treatment safely as it was a rare condition. One person told us 'I don't feel pressure to have treatment here.'
The practice involved and consulted people about their treatment. Information provided to people, such as practice leaflets enabled them to make informed choices about their treatment.
We identified a number of shortfalls in relation to staff recruitment practices, records and infection control due to the limitations of the environment, but did not identify any immediate risks to people because of it.
