During a routine inspection
One person told us 'It's quite easy to get an appointment when you need one. The reception staff are very helpful.' They said 'The building is beautiful it's always so clean and lovely.' Another person said 'I'm a very nervous patient but they put me at ease. I've even been given acupuncture to relax me.' People told us staff explained the risk and benefits of various treatments and provided details of the expected outcome.
The records showed us consent was sought from people appropriately before any treatment began. People's medical and dental health needs were accurately documented and updated at each visit.
We saw the practice was clean and hygienic and the staff followed appropriate infection control policies and procedures.
Staff told us they felt well supported by management and were offered appropriate training at regular intervals. We saw staff were appraised annually and attended regular team meetings that informed them of new policies, procedures and ways of working.
Patients were asked if they were happy with the quality of care and treatment they received at the practice.
