During a routine inspection
People who used the practice were very complimentary about the care and treatment they and their family members (where applicable) received. They told us they were given enough information about their treatment options.
One person we spoke with told us, "I am 100 percent happy with everything that goes on there". Another person we spoke with described the care as, "Superb, very professional, combined with compassion".
We saw that the practice was clean and well organised and staff working at the practice had a good understanding of infection control procedures. In addition to this there were arrangements in place to ensure that equipment was kept clean and ready for use.
The dentists and staff that worked at the practice were suitably qualified and were supported by the provider to maintain their continuous professional development (CPD). In addition to this staff received training on how to recognise signs of abuse, the action they should take if they suspected abuse and the agencies to contact.
There were arrangements for monitoring the quality of the service and we saw that people who used the service were encouraged to provide feedback about the care and treatment they received. This meant that the provider actively encouraged feedback and used it to influence the way care was provided.
