During a routine inspection
One person new to the home told us they had settled in well and had many visitors since arriving. They said they use a walking stick and was managing well with staff help. The same person told us they were scared of falling out of bed and showed us a small bed rail that had been fitted to their bed. This made them feel safer at night.
Another person using the service was very positive about the home and said, 'I don't think I could have found anywhere better than here.'
We were told they had never heard of anyone who had a proper complaint but they would go to the manager if they did have one.
People we spoke to said staff were very nice and one person said 'the staff are kind and get on well with one another as well as the owner. There is no bickering.'
We were informed that people have regular visitors. 'They can pop in whenever they like and there are no restrictions.'
People said they could express their views and felt supported to do this. One person told us that they felt able to talk to the staff at any time, who always listened and acted upon their concerns.
