Kindness, compassion and dignity
Patient feedback provided a positive view of the dental team and care provided by the practice. They said staff were professional, courteous, and considerate. One patient told us, ‘This clinic always treats us professionally and kindly,’ and another patient said, ‘Lovely practice. Excellent and educative dental work for all my family. As well as great dental work the staff (from the dental team to the reception staff) are also very friendly and kind’. Patients felt they were treated as individuals, and their personal and cultural needs were respected. One patient said, ‘Proactive, very friendly and professional, flexible to accommodate busy family life.’ Another patient told us that they particularly valued the way staff took time to explain things, focusing on prevention and on dental health, not just on fixing problems. Patient comments included that staff were welcoming and attentive, acted with integrity, and showed compassion. People received care from staff who were aware of their responsibility to respect people’s diversity and human rights, and of the importance of privacy and confidentiality. Staff felt respected, valued and supported in their roles, and their wellbeing was supported.
