We undertook a follow up focused inspection of Cricklewood Dental Clinic on 2 November 2022. This inspection was carried out to review in detail the actions taken by the registered provider to improve the quality of care and to confirm that the practice was now meeting legal requirements.
The inspection was led by a CQC inspector who had was supported by a specialist dental advisor.
We undertook a focused inspection of Cricklewood Dental Clinic on 23 July 2021 under Section 60 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 as part of our regulatory functions. We found the registered provider was not providing safe and well led care and was in breach of regulations 12 and 17 of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. At a follow up inspection on 9 December 2021 we found that the provider had made some improvements but had not taken action to fully comply with the regulations. When one or more of the 5 questions are not met we require the service to make improvements and send us an action plan. We then inspect again after a reasonable interval, focusing on the areas where improvement was required.

The provider has 3 practices and this report is about Cricklewood Dental Clinic.
Cricklewood Dental Clinic is in the London Borough of Brent and provides NHS and private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
The dental team includes the principal dentist, 1 associate dentist, 1 dental therapist and 1 trainee dental nurse. The clinical team are supported by a receptionist and a practice manager. The practice has 1 treatment room and a separate decontamination room.
During the inspection we spoke with the principal dentist, the receptionist and the practice manager. We looked at practice policies and procedures and other records about how the service is managed.
The practice is open:
Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm.
