During a routine inspection
One person said, "I can't fault the dentist or the service at all, it is always clean".
We reviewed evidence in the records held that demonstrated where the practice had provided advice to people on lifestyle choices such as stopping smoking or drinking less sugary drinks.
We spoke with a dentist and two dental assistants, who told us that they were supported in their job whilst acquiring new skills in becoming competent.
We noted that all essential personal protective equipment (PPE) was accessible to staff and we observed treatment where we saw that staff were wearing the correct PPE.
We reviewed staff files and found that previous employment and identity checks had been completed before staff were employed by the service. Criminal records bureau checks were in place for the service's dentists.
We also reviewed the records of complaints held by the service. We found that a detailed record existed for those complaints that had been made including an audit trail of events.
