During a routine inspection
When people were transported the service had obtained information about people's specific needs and staff completed records of the care provided during the journey. This demonstrated that staff used the information they received to provide the care people needed during their journey.
The service had an infection control policy in place. Staff told us they had completed infection control training and described the procedures they followed to ensure the vehicles and equipment were clean and the risk of infection controlled.
Recruitment procedures should ensure only suitable staff were employed who had the necessary skills and qualifications to support patients. There were procedures in place to respond appropriately to any complaints.
