During a routine inspection
Everyone we spoke with was happy with the service provided by the dental practice. One person commented that the dentist had not been as accessible recently but they had got an appointment. We were told that there could be a five or ten minute wait to see the dentist.
The dental practice appeared to be clean. Staff were able to explain the processes and equipment used to ensure the dental practice was clean and hygienic. People commented that the dental surgery was "spotless".
We saw records to demonstrate that staff received regular training. The staff we spoke with told us that they had all of the training that the needed including infection control, emergency procedures, adult and child protection and information governance.
The dental practice had systems in place to monitor the quality of the service provided. Satisfaction survey results showed that the majority of people had rated the service as excellent, very good or good. Regular audits took place to monitor working practices and systems in place. Maintenance contracts ensured that equipment in use was in good working order.
