At Home Support Services Ltd is a domiciliary care provider supporting people in their own homes. Not everyone using the service receives a regulated activity; CQC only inspects the service being received by people provided with 'personal care'; help with tasks related to personal hygiene and eating. Where they do, we also take into account any wider social care provided. At the time of the inspection the service was supporting 25 people. We visited the office location on 09 May 2024 to see the registered manager, office staff and care staff; and to review care records and policies and procedures. We reviewed records including care plans for 5 people and recruitment files for 3 staff. Following our visit on site we reviewed a range of service records including, staff training and supervision matrix, audits, and policies/procedures. On 15 May 2024, 1 Expert by Experience made telephone calls to people who used the service and their relatives. An expert by experience is a person who has personal experience of using or caring for someone who uses this type of care service. We spoke with 5 people and 12 relatives. We looked at the following quality statements; learning culture, safeguarding, involving people to manage risks, safe and effective staffing, infection prevention and control, medicines optimisation, capable, compassionate and inclusive leaders, freedom to speak up, governance and assurance, partnerships and communities and learning, improvement and innovation. We did not assess all quality statements at this inspection. For those areas we did not assess, we used the ratings awarded at the last inspection to calculate the overall rating. We did not identify breaches of any Regulations during this assessment. We will continue to monitor information we receive about the service, which will help inform when we next assess them.
