During a routine inspection
Wisdom Dental Care has a contract with the NHS to provide NHS dental care. We saw that information regarding the costs of any NHS treatment was on display in the waiting area. All of the six people that we spoke with said that they were happy with the service provided. One person told us, "They tell you everything about any treatment you are going to have". Another person said, "This is my first time at this dental practice, I came here because it was recommended to me".
We looked around the dental practice and saw that it was clean. We saw records which demonstrated that the dental practice was regularly cleaned.
Staff had not received an appraisal of their working practices recently. The manager was aware of this and was planning to introduce a new appraisal system.
We looked at the comments book in the reception area; we saw that people had recorded positive comments. We saw that a new system had recently been introduced to obtain feedback from the people who used the service.
