During an inspection looking at part of the service
We spoke with four people to find out their opinions. They commented that the practice was always clean. One person said, "It always looks spotless." Another person said, "It's absolutely clean."
People told us they were given protective equipment to wear during their treatment to help prevent cross infection and eye injuries. One person said, 'You always get goggles, a bib and tissues to wipe your mouth.' People also mentioned that staff wore protective equipment.
We looked at three completed questionnaires which had been received in August 2012. All three stated that general cleanliness and hygiene were excellent.
We found that appropriate checks were now being undertaken before staff began work and there were effective recruitment and selection processes in place. People were complimentary about the staff who worked there. Comments included, "The nurse that was in with me today was very nice. The staff always introduce themselves and the receptionists are always polite." Another person told us, "I think the staff are excellent, first class." Other comments included, "They're confident at what they do" and "I'm at ease when I go."
