At our visit to the practice we spoke with five people using the service (patients) and three members of staff, including the registered manager and the dentist. All the patients felt staff treated them in a pleasant and respectful manner, and were good at making them feel at ease. One person said, "Everyone is reassuring and no one is abrupt". Another person said, "Staff are always polite". People's right to private discussions/consultations was upheld, and private discussions with the dentist took place in the surgeries. Patients felt they were given enough information about their treatment options, and the relevant fees, which enabled them to make choices about what option was best. They said the dentist discussed these things properly with them. A patient said, "It's a friendly practice and everything is explained in detail".Patients told us they were very satisfied with their dental care and treatment. One said, "They always do a good job; the dentist is very gentle and I don't have any pain". Another said, "I feel cared for, I have confidence in them". People confirmed they could see the dentist at short notice if needed and never had an unacceptable wait in the surgery for their appointment.
Patients thought the facilities and the premises were pleasant, clean and hygienic. They had also observed staff undertaking correct hygiene procedures such as wearing gloves and masks. One person told us, "It's always spotless; that's what I like about it".
