Gardenia Court Nursing Home

Date of assessment: 11 September to 23 September 2024. Gardenia Court Nursing Home is a nursing home providing personal and nursing care for up to 29 people. At the time of our assessment 25 people lived at the service. We visited the service on 11 and 12 September. We also spoke with people and their families on 11 and 12 September. We viewed records on and off site between 11 and 23 September. During this assessment we looked at the key questions of Safe and Well Led. At our last Inspection in April 2019, we identified 2 breaches of the regulations. At this assessment we found the service was now compliant with the regulations. The rating for this service has changed from Requires Improvement to Good.

During the assessment we spoke with 9 people and their relatives. We received positive feedback from people, their relatives, staff and health and social care professionals who worked with the service. People and their relatives told us "“There is always someone around, if I've got any problems, I go to the office, and they sort it out. I do feel safe here” and “[Registered manager] always comes to find us and updates us, and tells us how [relative] is” and "The care assistants are very caring and supportive of the residents".
