During a routine inspection
People who used the service told us that they felt informed, respected and involved in their treatment. People understood their treatment plans, were able to make informed decisions about their treatment and experienced effective treatment and support.
The environment was clean and hygienic and the provider ensured that infection control procedures were followed routinely. A person who used the service said, "It always looks very clean here." Staff received specific training in infection control and
decontamination procedures. This helped to ensure that people were safeguarded from the risk of infection.
Staff were supported to maintain their professional development and to obtain further qualifications. New staff were supported through an induction procedure. A staff member said, "It's a good staff team here." This helps to ensure that people who used the service were treated and cared for by a staff team who had the skills and knowledge to meet their needs.
There was a system in place for monitoring the quality of services provided. However, the provider will need to become more active in obtaining people's views. The provider should also document when improvements have been actioned so that they can demonstrate that improvements have been made.
