During a check to make sure that the improvements required had been made
We found the registered manager had made effective arrangements to provide a safe and responsive service.
We found the registered manager had made effective arrangements to provide a safe and responsive service.
We spoke with three people registered with the practice for general dentistry. They had mixed opinions about customer service. One person told us they were "very pleased with everyone here, I would recommend this practice". Someone else told us that they felt uncomfortable with the reception staff and did not feel able to ask the dentist about their treatment. Everyone we spoke with said that the staff were well presented and the premises were always clean.
We saw that good advice was on display to help people to look after their teeth and their oral health.
We found that staff were trained and equipped to deal with medical emergencies that might arrive.
The systems in place to keep the practice clean and hygienic were in accordance with professional guidance, to prevent the spread of infection. We found that the treatment rooms were clean and in good repair. Other parts of the building did not have smooth surfaces that would make them easy to keep clean, however a good standard of cleanliness had been maintained.
We found that the measures in place to prevent potential damage from fire were insufficient and in need of prompt attention. The registered manager took immediate action to have these measures assessed.
