During a routine inspection
People received care personalised to their needs and they had been supported to develop their independent living skills in areas such as budgeting, shopping, cooking and cleaning. We saw that staff helped people to plan their own menus and cook their own meals.
People were supported to maintain their health and to manage their medications safely.
A relative told us "The staff are brilliant. They are very supportive and we have good communication. I feel included and I can raise concerns if I ever have any.'
Staff told us they enjoyed working at Blake House and felt trained and supported in their roles. There were opportunities for training and career development.
There was an effective complaints system available. And comments and complaints people made were responded to appropriately.
