During a routine inspection
We spoke with people who had visited the practice and asked them about their experience of using the service. Everyone we spoke with said they were happy with the treatment they had received. One person told us, 'They are very good.' Another person told us the service was, 'Excellent.'
People told us the surgery was always clean. One person we spoke with said, 'I chose this dentist because it's clean. It's modern and hygienic.'
We found that there were not enough qualified, skilled and experienced staff to meet people's needs. The dentist was treating patients without a dental nurse present. Staff were not receiving appropriate training and appraisals.
We asked about the process for auditing the quality of the service provided. We saw that the practice did not have good auditing procedures in place.
